You're Always There

Within thevastness of the miles,
I can still picture your face.
Always waiting there for me,
My mind cannot erase,
The longing in your eyes,
Or the words you've said to me,
I wish I could come back to you
I did not want to leave.
But time changes everything,
Not only you and me.
I've found something different
I hope in time you'll see,
When it seemed I didn't care,
That I never meant to hurt you.
And I'll keep you in my heart.
Please trust me when I say:
You always will be there.
