Good

So Common

by Annalise

One timeyou came home in a furious rage,
I thought it too normal to care.
But that night was different, yet I didn't know,
That not a one life would you spare.
I had three other ones that were there on that night,
And you took what they had as well.
You brutally stole our lives we possessed,
Now we had no secret to tell.
You hid us behind where we used to play,
And covered us up with great care.
The things that we had held so dear to our hearts ,
You used to pretend we weren't there.
You went back inside to ponder this thing,
That you had just done to your own.
And weeping you turned and ran for the door,
Your actions you couldn't condone.
You though that you needed to punish yourself,
And when there was no one in sight.
You took your own life with that same thing you used,
To murder your children that night.
