Outside
Lying in my sick bed,
I think in my head,
What would it be like to go outside,
To stop sleeping in this bed.
I look out of the window,
Into the world outside,
And what I see amazes me,
This place is so alive.
I tell you all about it,
As you close your eyes,
You can picture what I say,
Your imagination flies.
While cheerful music plays ,
The children dance along,
All nature burst out full force,
And sings a happy song.
A gentle breeze blow over lakes,
And trees sway in the wind,
The birds fly and whisp around,
While the sun it shines and grins.
Everyone seems happy here ,
And all it glad and bright,
While I lay in sickness here,
And view this happy sight.
Now I'm gone and you decide,
To look out of the pane,
And all you see is a brick wall,
With one lone ivy vein.
