once she opened her eyes and looked out for love
the love she had waited so long to find
she missed what had once been or what could be
she confuses the two
all she knows is her heart has been broken and it lies on the floor
waiting for a gentle hand to pick up the pieces and help her to fit it back together
and fill in the cracks

but the tears never do reach the surface
they are just buried way too deep in her soul
