Savio's Notes on this Specific Phobia
This phobia is exactly the opposite of the fear of ice or frost! Anyway, it always humours me to discover certain people showing symptoms of both phobias. To be fair to them, it is only natural for all humans to be afraid of fire. However, patients suffering from the fear of fire shows panic signs even at the sight of fire or intense red heat.

As with most phobias, early childhood experiences have a major role to play in the development of certain phobias in individuals. Developing a fear of fire is another such phobia. Unfortunately camp fires are out of question for children suffering from this fear.

Phobia Treatment & Prevention according to Savio
This is one of the most difficult phobias to treat simply because we cannot play with fire as human beings. The only option is to use therapy sessions to gradually reduce the fear of fire.
