Who comes up with these phobias we will never really know but since this phobia is quite unusual very few individuals suffer from it. I am not a sadist but I would like to see the look on the face of someone who enters a house full of mirror quite by accident. Never heard of anyone close to me suffering from this phobia
This type of phobia is generally caused by low self-image & low self-esteem. Tends to show itself in the female rather than the male. This phobia has been observed in Greek & Medieval History so it's not something new.
Phobia Treatment & Prevention according to Savio
Avoid mirrors altogether until this fear has been overcome. Live in homes & work in offices where little or no glass & mirrors are used.
