If you have never visited a circus this page shouldn't really bother you. Clowns are a relatively diminishing group of people and their use in Television Advertisements has been curtailed due to this unusual phobia often seen in kids. The close resemblance of the clown to an evil villain also contributes to this weird phobia.

This type of phobia is generally caused by watching movies with bad clowns in them. The writers of Horror can scare the hell out of any young boy or girl & occasionally can scare grown-up men too. Being a regular at a Circus does not help either. This is one of those phobias where a definite cause for the fear has still not been established..
