Haunted Houses, Haunted Places

Nashville Theater

Sent in by Ghost Writer 4

I personally have never seen a ghost or had any kind of experience which I would call paranormal.

My brother, on the other hand, insists that ghosts are real because of what he saw.

A few years ago, he was working as an assistant manager in a movie theater chain in Nashville, Tenn.

He spent one week helping out in a theater in a different part of town. He had heard the regular people who worked at that location talk about the ghost there, but he didn't believe in that sort of thing.

One night he was working late after the theater had closed. Everyone else had either gone home or left temporarily.

He was working up in one of the projection booths. Suddenly, he said, he just got an odd , uneasy feeling for no apparent reason. He decided to get up and go get something to drink downstairs. As he passed the window looking down into the auditorium, he saw a figure standing at the front, dressed completely in white.

He did a double take. He looked down, and nothing was there. "I know I saw someone standing there," he said. "There was no way the person could have left fast enough for me to not see them on the second look." But he could see no one.

He turned to go down the stairs. As he set his foot on the first step, a large fan, the kind that is on top of a tall pole, crashed loudly down directly behind him.

He flew down the stairs and propped the front door open. He sat there for a long time, smoking cigarettes and waiting for the others to get back. He said there was no way he was going back in there by himself.

He said he would never scoff at anyone who believes in ghosts again. He claims that this particular ghost tried purposefully to scare him.
