Mom's Stories
Hello, I've been reading these stories and some of them are almost too scary for me. I almost killed my cat when she knocked some crackers off the 'fridge while I was reading a particularilily (sp?) scary one, (I must have jumped a couple feet).
But I had to forgive her when I needed a companion while reading the same story after it got even scarier.(hee hee)
These Mini-Ghost Stories I am about to share probably belong on Scooby Doo, compared to some of the ones I have read, but oh well they are kind of interesting.
All these stories happened to my mom, because I have yet to expirence anything remotely paranormal (except perhaps, my hair in the morning, that would turn you white) but I'm only 14 (yep, I'm a teenager, but apparently I haven't collected enough angst to produce any poltergeists) so I've got plenty of time. (Notice how well laden this thing is with parentheses, I guess it's that teenage melodrama) But with out further ado, I present to you my not-so spine-tingling tales.....................................
1. My mom used to work for an "in-home" care company; she was assigned to a Mr. Something or other, but for the purposes of this story we'll call him Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith was kind-of fond of my mom, and I guess she liked him okay. Anyway, one day she was sleeping-in one Sat. or Sun. when she suddenly sat up in bed with a sharp pain in her chest, well it lingered for about 30 seconds and then went away. Confused, she went to back to sleep. The next monday when she reported back to work, she was told that Mr. Smith had died of a heart-attack on that Sat. or Sun. (Can't remember which). My mom simply assumes she got those chest pains the same time as Mr. Smith.
2. Through that same center, my mom met Jenny, she wasn't elderly like my mom's other patients, she was mildly retarted, had a plethera (sp?) of medical problems, and was very lonlely. After my mom got a new job (where she is currently employed), she still continued to visit/do things for Jenny like take her to the mall, grocery etc. I was always drug along on these (for my self) less-than-pleasurable excursions. I think we were both jealous of each other, both competeing for my mom's attentions/affections, personally I think I was the only one who had any real right to them. Nearly every night she would call her for about half- an- hour and she would talk, mom would listen. Mom found these phone calls to be extremely annoying, but because of her big heart and spinelessness, she tolerated the calls. Mom continued to go visit her, I continued to be drug along until her death brung about by of kidney or lung problems (again, I forget which). Jenny's sister called and! ! told my mom the day she died.
That night my mom had a dream, that she was sitting in the living room when the phone rang, over the receiver came Jenny's familiar voice to tell her she was fine and very happy in Heaven. It runs in the family though, my grandma always knew when somebody was going to die because she would see something like white sheets falling, and become vey depressed; about a week later somebody she knew would die. AND My Aunt K. (not using full name because, she's into paranormal stuff too; she might stumble onto this and might be embarrassed) can see ghosts. There is a little boy ghost that haunts her house ( we're going to visit her over spring break, so I may witness something paranormal sooner than I think).
Much Sorrow over length (baby's first post, you know). But I do have some real GHOST stories which I will share in later posts.
With Love, Peace and Encouragement,
I bid you good-bye.
